at Barca, he has Xavi and Iniesta creating chances by the dozen for him. No one of comparable calibre here. The one enganche Argentina have was sitting at home, having fought with the coach.

Yeah.I'm happy that this happened early.Coz most of the players(Messi,Aguero,Higuain,Pastore,Masch,Otamendi etc) are very young so that they still have time to improve on their experience and top level footballing experience. :)

Messi is not overrated. Argentina was. Grossly. I was surprised by the number of people who tipped Argentina for the cup and the blind faith of the fans despite the disaster that was Qualification. But again, it was down to Maradona.

I had thought this campaign was doomed from the moment Maradona picked his team. In other words, the moment he left out Cambiasso and Zanetti.

I was a bit surprised by Brazil's exit but not a bit by Argentina's. I've been saying for ages that any half-decent team would have played this team off the park since there is NO distributor in this team. Mascherano is a destroyer, but little more. Veron is deadwood.

And the defense, the less said the better. Very hotheaded players like Heinze and Burdisso, error-prone ones like Demichelis and Mascherano, and a front four who refuse to help out apart from Tevez.

Germany had this on a plate apart from any odd goal their young defense might have let slip through.

Btw,we weren't supposed to win the WC even when the worldcup started.And then after watching us score well against other teams,if others say that we deserve to win...you can't blame them.

And there is nothing in the Argeinte team that's over rated.Find something n i will shave my head.

P.S:Don't just value individuals just according to one game.

The defence was a worry from the start. Someone attacked me for complaining after the opening game when Nigeria breached it at will. Otomendi is a centre-back playing out of position, Heinze was a busted flush three years ago, Dimichelis is horribly error-prone...

Cambiasso , Riquelme n Zanetti were missed big time . What a contrast today's match was , am reminded of the 6-0 demolition of Serbia n Montenegro in 2006 . These 3 wudve made a big difference .

What I stated is what more or less what others stated.

This team is overrated because people seemed to think it will win the WC. Maybe you didn't , but millions did. I can see someone on this very page. :D

From tat someone on this very page - I echo Mithran's view , I dun think the team was over-rated . The only chink in the armor , I'd say was the defence . 

The defence was supposed 2 give way someday with chaps like Otamendi , Gutierrez , Demichelis manning it . N today was the day . The team put up a lacklustre show today . If we had a goal at any point of time before the 2nd german goal , things wudve bn totally different . The attack is probably the best we have in the world . Dint come off today , again thanx an exceptionally stupid wall
