Brazil loses in a Dutch game

Brazil football fans, LondonWe were cheated, by Dunga

Brazil strikes twice and still loses in a 2-1 loss!

The Netherlands overcame a rough start against Brazil on Friday to defeat Brazil by a score of 2-1. Brazil displayed some aggressive play to take a 1-0 lead in the first period, but the five time world champion seemingly fell apart in the second period. Robinho scored the first goal which had all trade mark Brazilian football game - defense splitting pass and very short reaction time for the opposing teamRobinho's shot was set up by a long pass up the middle of the Netherlands defense from Felipe Melo, who was near the halfway line. The pass went right through the heart of the Netherlands defense setting up the easy goal for Robinho

Brazilian center backs Juan and Lucio thwarted numerous attacks by the Dutch. Dutch players seemed to drop and flop at any contact, looking for a card against Brazil. The best chance came when Robinho dribbled through three defenders on the left, without losing control and staying on his feet volleyed the ball to Luis Fabiano, who back heeled to Kaka. Kaka's shot curled and dipped towards the top right corner of the goal, but Stekelenburg just managed to hand it away. Kaka's face was one of disbelief.

Second half started with Netherlands attacking and Robben falling again. Wesley Sneijder crossed the ball into the penalty area in front of Brazil's goal. Goalkeeper Julio Cesar came out to punch it away, but missed. The ball skidded off the head of teammate Felipe Melo and went into the back of the net to even the score. A very bad piece of defending resulted in next goal. Juan casually touched the ball outside for a corner. This was taken by Robben, which Dirk Kuyt popped towards the middle of goal with his head. Sneijder got to the ball to nod it into the net. As my brother said before the corner was being taken, "where are the Brazilian defenders for the kick!!" that this was said in utter disbelief on the pathetic professionalism of the team was realized when few seconds later score was 2-1.

Once it fell behind, Brazil's composure fizzled and the Dutch resurgence thrived on. After Sneijder scored to give the Dutch a 2-1, Melo kicked a fallen Robben after losing the ball and drew a straight red card. It was a shameful game afterwards played by Brazilian defenders and mid fielders. Brazil suddenly looked like the side playing in disarray, their panicky defending gave away free kicks and corner kicks. Not even Robinho could find his feet. Kaka was not finding support. This is not a player who can carry a team individually, he needed support. If only he played during the time of Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Roberto Carlos. This guy would have been a star. The Netherlands finished out the match without any real threats from Brazil.

Only guy to be blamed is Dunga. This would not have happened if coach changed players at proper time. If any player was not feeling good, he should be changed immediately. He didn't bring Ronaldinho, well that is OK, but during match, even if Kaka is not feeling good, he should be substituted. Why don't these Brazilians understand, ever(remember 1998!) I do not wish to write anymore.
