Maybe I should bring to ur attention the German team of 1990 n to an extent the Brazilian teams of 1994 ( save one match ) n 2002 . I dun see any logic in ur statement . It takes something to end the tournament with just 1 goal scored against , d way Italy did in 2006 . We all know what happened to the so-called greatest ever teams like Brazil in 1950 n the Netherlands in 1974 .

BTW, There is a lot of difference between a champion team and a cup winning team. I didnt say Argentina were the cup-winning team. I said they claim to be a champion team. And yes, Italy 2006, or Brazil 1994 were cup winning teams, not champion teams.

U mite wanna rethink on that , I could get a billion articles n videos to vouch for that :P . Zidane , definitely, was a good player . But then he wasnt an angel as has been portrayed .He , for the record ( the only other player beingRigobert Song ) , has been dismissed in 2 seperate WCs . All thinking of Maradona as being mad as a hatter ( which probably he is ) , wud wanna consider Little Zizou a legitimate successor ( or predecessor ) to that title .

Zizou was a talisman. And his demeanour on field was so relaxed and yet so elegant. He gave football the term we call b'ful. Btw Messi has to win this wc for Argentina if he wishes to to touch d immortality of Maradona...........Although I still vouch for Spain to win. Their football is a different class altogether. 34 as latest without a loss..........And the way they humbled Germany in Euro finals only a stroke of genius from a player like Messi can stop them in their quest.......
